Book Review: You are a Champion by Marcus Rashford.

Marcus Rashford is famous worldwide for his skills both on and off the pitch – but before he was a Manchester United and England footballer, and long before he started his inspiring campaign to end child food poverty, he was just an average kid from Wythenshawe, South Manchester.

Now, Marcus Rashford MBE wants to show YOU how to achieve your dreams, in this positive and inspiring guide for life.

No matter who you are and no matter where you come from, every single person in the world has the potential to be a champion.

In You Are a Champion, the nation’s favourite footballer gives you the tools you need to reach your full potential, showing you how to be the very BEST version of yourself you can be.

Written with journalist Carl Anka, this empowering guide is packed full of stories from Marcus’s own life, brilliant advice and top-tips from performance psychologist Katie Warriner. Perfect for readers who need to hear that they already are champions – they just might not know it yet.

It shows kids how to:
– Be comfortable with who you are – you can’t be a champion until you’re happy being you!
– Dream big
– Practise like a champion – good things take hard work and time
– Get out of your comfort zone and learn from your mistakes
– Navigate adversity in a positive way
– Find your team
– Use your voice and stand up for others
– Never stop learning

My Review of You are a Champion by Marcus Rashford.

In this book, the Manchester United player takes us through his childhood, during his days at the United academy and now he’s a professional footballer both in England and Manchester United.

According to him, he always loved to play football. It has always been his dream and passion.

But he didn’t know he would make his debut at 18 and score a goal for both the England national team and Manchester United, and that would blow him up.

He idolised footballers like Wayne Rooney and C. Ronaldo and wished to be like them, but didn’t know he would turn out to be this big.

Book Review: You are a Champion by Marcus Rashford.

In this book targeted at children to make them realize they can be champions, he says he wasn’t always this great a footballer, but constant days and nights of practice made him a better player.

This is a book of hope and encouragement, because he narrates his story on how he made it from an ordinary boy to a world star.

According to the book, your potentials are limitless, and you can be anything you want to be if you work hard towards it.

He also says to dream, because there’s nothing you cannot achieve in your imagination. If you dare to dream, and put in the work, then you will surely succeed.

You don’t have to compete with anyone but yourself. It’s always you versus you. Everyone’s journey is different, and when you start wishing to be someone else, then you can’t be the YOU you ought to be.

But when you strive to be you, then you can be the best version of yourself. There is no one best way to success.

What works for someone else might not work for you. You just have to find out what works for you, and stick by it.

Lastly, you are a champion, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Just try and get better at what you do, through constant practice, and you will succeed.
